Karnataka 2nd PUC Results 2026 Announced with Revised Passing Criteria and New Exam System The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) released the results for the Class 12 PUC II examinations on April 9, 2026, as announced on its official websites, including karresults.nic.in and kseab.karnataka.gov.in. The results became available at 3 pm, with a press conference scheduled for 6:15 pm to discuss toppers and district-wise performance. Students could also access their marks through the KarnatakaOne Mobile App, DigiLocker, WhatsApp, and SMS. The results were initially delayed from April 7 due to administrative issues related to the state’s general elections, as the model code of conduct imposed restrictions on public announcements. A total of 7,10,363 students from 5,174 colleges participated in the exams, which were held from February 28 to March 17, 2026. The student distribution across streams was 2,92,645 in Science, 2,11,174 in Commerce, and 1,42,982 in Arts. The exams were conducted at 1,217 centers, with 6,46,801 first-time candidates, 50,540 repeaters, and 13,022 private candidates. The evaluation system for the 2nd PUC exams follows an 80+20 model, combining written exams and internal assessments. The minimum passing criteria were adjusted this year, with the required percentage lowered from 35% to 30%. Students must score at least 30 marks in each subject (combining theory and practical/internal scores) and achieve an overall aggregate of 33% (198 out of 600 marks) to pass. This change was introduced to ease the academic burden on students. The KSEAB also implemented a tri-annual exam system, allowing students three opportunities to clear the 2nd PUC examinations.#karnataka_government #digilocker #kseab #karnataka_school_examination_and_assessment_board #karnataka_one_mobile_app
