Dhurandhar 2 First Song Blends Punjabi Beats With Hip-Hop The makers of Dhurandhar 2 released the first song from the upcoming sequel, a reimagined version of Bombay Rockers’ 2003 hit Aari Aari. The track merges Punjabi musical elements with modern hip-hop influences, showcasing a fresh take on the original. The song was composed, arranged, and programmed by Shashwat Sachdev, with vocals contributed by Navtej Singh Rehal (Bombay Rockers), Khan Saab, Jasmine Sandlas, and Sudhir Yaduvanshi. Rap sections were crafted and performed by Reble and Token. Lyrics were written by Irshad Kamil in collaboration with Bombay Rockers, while Adam Lucas handled the musical scoring. The original Aari Aari was part of Bombay Rockers’ debut album Introducing, released in 2003. The Danish-Indian duo, consisting of Navtej Singh Rehal (Naf) and Thomas Sardorf, experimented with blending traditional Punjabi folk and Bhangra with Western hip-hop, R&B, and club beats. Their goal was to expand their audience, appealing to both Indian and international music fans. Dhurandhar 2, directed by Aditya Dhar, stars Ranveer Singh as Hamza Ali Mazari, an Indian spy infiltrating a criminal gang in Pakistan’s Lyari town. The film, a spy thriller, is set for theatrical release on March 19, with paid previews on March 18. The ensemble cast includes Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, and R. Madhavan. The project is produced by Aditya Dhar, Jyoti Deshpande, and Lokesh Dhar. The reimagined Aari Aari reflects the evolving sound of the film’s soundtrack, which aims to bridge cultural and musical traditions while staying rooted in contemporary trends. The song’s release marks a significant step in the anticipation for Dhurandhar 2, which promises to expand on the themes and action of its predecessor.#dhurandhar_2 #navtej_singh_rehal #bombay_rockers #shashwat_sachdev #khan_saab
