Tragedy in Deonai Village: Boy and Parents Die in Cliff Incident A tragic incident unfolded in Deonai village, located in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, on Friday, August 21, 2026, when a 18-year-old boy and his parents lost their lives following a dispute over the purchase of a new iPhone. The incident, which escalated into a fatal accident, has left the community in shock and prompted authorities to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragedy. The dispute began when Kunal Murlidhar Chandvade, the 18-year-old boy, requested his father, Murlidhar Chandvade, 48, to buy him a new iPhone. The father refused, sparking an emotional conflict between the two. According to District Collector Vinay Gowda, the boy, feeling distressed, climbed to the edge of Khavdya Hill in Tisgaon, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, at approximately 10 a.m. The hill, a local landmark, became the site of a harrowing event as the boy reportedly threatened to take drastic action to convince his parents. Villagers, including the village sarpanch, attempted to calm the boy, but he refused to listen. The father, determined to resolve the situation, decided to confront his son directly. He ascended the hill to reach his son, who was standing near the cliff’s edge. As the father approached, the boy, in a moment of desperation, lost his balance and fell from the cliff. In a tragic chain of events, the boy’s fall caused his father to lose his grip, pulling him down with him. The mother, Sangeeta Murlidhar Chandvade, 42, who had been nearby, rushed to rescue her husband and son. However, in the process, she slipped and fell from the cliff as well. All three individuals succumbed to their injuries, with the incident resulting in three fatalities.#chhatrapati_sambhajinagar #deonai_village #khavdya_hill #tisgaon #vinay_gowda
