After Murdering Friend Atharva, Jai Shows No Remorse In Lock-Up Nagpur: The 19-year-old Jay Yadav, prime accused in the brutal murder of his 14-year-old best friend Atharva Nanore, has left city police stunned with his remorseless and nonchalant behavior inside the lock-up. Alongside accomplices Kunal Shahu and Ayush Shahu, Jay is currently in police custody on remand for five days. According to officers handling the case, Jay’s complete lack of remorse is baffling. "After committing his first crime—specifically, the murder of a best friend—Jay is disturbingly calm and aloof. Even hardened criminals don’t exhibit such traits," said a senior officer. "Jay showed surprising calmness and misled cops during interrogation, fabricating as many as four different stories before finally naming the two Shahus, who later provided critical information," added another officer. The murder allegedly occurred on April 2, when Jay and his accomplices, Kunal Shahu and Ayush Shahu, carried out a botched ransom plot. Police confirmed that Jay allegedly watched without emotion as Kunal Shahu strangled Atharva and later assisted in disposing of the body. The crime scene investigation revealed that the act was premeditated, with Jay’s role in the execution of the plan being central to the case. Following the murder, Jay returned to Gittikhadan, where he joined his family in searching for Atharva. He pasted missing posters around the neighborhood and even participated in local protests demanding justice for the missing boy. His actions, however, were seen as a calculated attempt to divert attention from his involvement. The police noted that Jay’s behavior during the search phase was inconsistent with genuine remorse, further fueling suspicions of his guilt.#atharva_nanore #jay_yadav #kunal_shahu #ayush_shahu #suhas_jagtap
