The discovery, made three-and-a-half months after Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s deadline to eradicate Naxalism, has prompted security forces to intensify operations in the area. The banner and pamphlet’s language and references have raised questions among authorities. While Maoist materials typically feature specific ideological phrasing, this document showed variations, leading police to suspect it may have been created by a local individual rather than a guerrilla group. A police source noted that despite ongoing security measures, such incidents highlight potential efforts to incite unrest. Following the discovery, security forces launched a thorough search operation in the surrounding jungle and sensitive areas. Authorities emphasized that Gadchiroli is undergoing development and gram sabha-led initiatives, and such activities will not be allowed to disrupt progress. Senior Police Superintendent M Ramesh stated that investigations are underway to trace the source of the propaganda materials.
