Rabri Devi Hands Over Government Residence After 20 Years Rabri Devi, the former chief minister of Bihar and wife of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, has handed over the keys to a government residence in Patna’s 10 Circular Road area to the state government after nearly two decades. The building, which had been occupied by the Yadav family, is now under the control of the state’s construction department. Officials inspected the property and confirmed that all items were in safe condition, after which they issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to Devi. The residence will undergo maintenance before being allocated to Nand Kishore Ram, the state’s dairy, fisheries, and livestock resources minister. The handover marks the end of a long period during which the Yadav family resided in the property. Officials conducted a thorough inspection of the residence, checking each item, including bulbs, fans, lifts, and motors, and documented their condition in a register. The department confirmed that all items were found in good condition, allowing the transfer to proceed. Devi’s decision to vacate the property has freed up the residence for government use, with plans to assign it to Ram after necessary repairs. Devi’s family has since moved to a private residence in Kotiily Nagar, a neighborhood in Patna. Lalu Yadav, who has been in poor health, has also relocated to this new home. The family has begun shifting belongings from the old residence to various locations, with some items stored at the new government residence allocated to their son, Tejashwi Yadav, in Polo Road.
