Metro to Launch Feeder Bus Service on Hingna Road Soon The Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MahaMetro) and the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) are set to introduce a dedicated feeder bus service that will connect Lokmanya Nagar Metro Station with key educational and medical institutions along Hingna Road. The initiative, which aims to enhance last-mile connectivity for students, patients, and daily commuters, will operate buses from the metro station to Lata Mangeshkar Hospital, with intermediate stops at GH Raisoni College of Engineering and Priyadarshini College of Engineering. The service is expected to begin operations shortly, marking a significant step toward improving urban mobility in Nagpur. Officials emphasized that the demand for this service stems from the needs of students and patients, who have long sought direct access to educational and medical facilities. To facilitate registration for the feeder bus, a two-day camp will be held at the premises of the affiliated colleges on April 7 and 8. During these camps, residents will be able to obtain Maha Card and NMC bus pass registrations, ensuring seamless access to the service. The buses will drop passengers directly onto campus grounds, offering a convenient, safe, and time-efficient alternative to private vehicles and auto-rickshaws for short-distance travel. The collaboration between MahaMetro and NMC underscores a shared commitment to reducing reliance on private transportation and promoting multimodal transit solutions. According to a MahaMetro spokesperson, the integrated initiative is designed to strengthen the existing metro network by addressing gaps in connectivity for key destinations.#nagpur_municipal_corporation #maha_metro #hingna_road #lata_mangeshkar_hospital #gh_raisoni_college_of_engineering
