Email Warns of 'Khalistani' Threat Against RSS HQ and Vidhan Bhavan Security agencies in Nagpur and Pune heightened their vigilance after a digital threat email circulated on Wednesday, warning of potential bombings targeting the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters, the Maharashtra Vidhan Bhavan, and civic buildings in Pune. The email, sent from a Gmail account under the name Tamia Edwards, was received at 8:56 a.m. and forwarded to municipal officials and police authorities. The message listed specific attack times and locations, including an IED blast at the Pune Mayor’s Office at 1:11 p.m., the Vidhan Bhavan at 3:11 p.m., and the RSS headquarters and Hedgewar Memorial in Nagpur at the same hour. Additional targets included RSS shakhas (local chapters) in the Nagpur-Pune region at 6:11 a.m. and 9:11 a.m. The threat claimed the attacks would occur between June and September. The email’s inflammatory content began with the phrase “Nagpur Pune Goonje Ga Khalistan,” referencing historical events such as the 1984 Operation Bluestar and Operation Woodrose. It claimed Sikh youths were eliminated in armed operations, concluding with slogans of revenge. The sender identified themselves as the Khalistan National Army, a group linked to separatist activities. Intelligence officials confirmed the email’s authenticity, prompting immediate action by the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and central intelligence agencies. Pune police commissioner Amitesh Kumar stated that searches and anti-sabotage checks were conducted at three locations, while Nagpur police chief Ravinder Singal ordered bomb detection and disposal teams to inspect the RSS headquarters, Hedgewar Memorial, and Vidhan Bhavan. No explosive devices were found during these inspections.#rashtriya_swayamsevak_sangh #nagpur_police #maharashtra_vidhan_bhavan #khalistan_national_army #pune_municipal_corporation
