Hyderabad Police Arrest Seven in Murder of Advocate Khaja Moizuddin Seven individuals, including the alleged masterminds behind the murder of advocate Khaja Moizuddin, were arrested by Hyderabad Police on May 29. The incident, which occurred on May 23, involved the deliberate ramming of the advocate by an SUV near his residence at Masab Tank, resulting in his death. The police linked the crime to a long-standing dispute over Waqf properties between the victim’s family and the accused. The main conspirator, Mujahid Alam Khan, was identified by authorities as the orchestrator of the attack. His father, Mahboob Alam Khan, along with associates Hassan Ali alias Chaous and Muneer, allegedly planned the murder in a systematic manner. According to Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar, the accused had been conducting reconnaissance near the victim’s home since January 2026, monitoring his movements to identify the opportunity for the attack. The murder was executed by an SUV driven at high speed, which struck the advocate and threw him nearly 10 meters away, causing grievous injuries that proved fatal. The police seized the vehicle used in the crime, along with ₹10.10 lakh in cash and multiple mobile phones from the accused. The officer stated that the conspirators had allegedly received ₹15 lakh as payment for the murder. The victim’s son, M.S. Farhan, an advocate, filed the complaint. He described how his father had stepped out around 5:45 a.m. for swimming and was approaching his parked vehicle when an unidentified four-wheeler rammed into him. The advocate succumbed to his injuries by noon.
