'Bhooth Bangla' crosses ₹200cr globally in 14 days Akshay Kumar’s latest film, Bhooth Bangla, has surpassed the ₹200 crore mark globally within just 14 days of its release. The horror-comedy, which premiered on April 17 with paid previews held a day earlier, has emerged as the fourth-highest-grossing Bollywood horror-comedy of all time. Despite facing stiff competition from recent releases such as The Devil Wears Prada 2 and Raja Shivaji during its third week, the film is projected to see a rise in collections over the weekend. The film’s box office performance is marked by a steady trajectory. During its first weekend, Bhooth Bangla earned ₹58 crore net in India, reaching the ₹100 crore milestone by its second Saturday (Day 9). After a minor dip on Monday, the film’s collections rebounded on Tuesday, only to experience a slight decline on Wednesday. On Thursday (Day 14), it added ₹3.5 crore net domestically, bringing its India box office tally to ₹128.15 crore net (₹152.15 crore gross). Internationally, the film performed strongly, with an overseas gross of ₹52.25 crore, pushing its global gross to ₹204.4 crore. Bhooth Bangla has also set new benchmarks in the Bollywood landscape. With a worldwide gross of ₹200 crore, it has become the third-highest-grossing Hindi film of the year and the fourth-highest-grossing horror-comedy in Bollywood history. In its second week, it surpassed recent big-budget Bollywood releases like Salman Khan’s Sikandar (₹176 crore). It also outperformed fellow horror-comedies such as Bhediya and Munjya in its first week, as well as Maddock’s other hits—Thamma (₹171 crore) and Stree (₹180 crore)—in its second week.#akshay_kumar #priyadarshan #rajpal_yadav #bhooth_bangla #mithila_palkar
