Detroit SportsNet Unveiled as Year-Round Broadcast Home for Tigers, Red Wings Ilitch Sports + Entertainment has launched Detroit SportsNet (DSN), a new platform designed to serve as a year-round broadcast home for Detroit Tigers and Detroit Red Wings fans. The initiative marks a significant shift in how local sports fans will access games, with Tigers broadcasts beginning this season and Red Wings coverage transitioning to DSN starting with the 2026-27 NHL season. The network will be available through traditional cable and satellite providers in Michigan once distribution agreements are finalized. In the interim, fans can subscribe to streaming options. Two in-market streaming plans are offered: an annual subscription priced at $189.99, which provides over 20% savings compared to monthly payments, and a shorter-term option. Subscribers to the annual plan will gain access to the full 2026 Tigers season and a substantial portion of the 2026-27 Red Wings season before the subscription renews on April 1, 2027. Tigers games will stream via the MLB App, which offers live action, highlights, statistics, and league news across web, mobile, and connected TV platforms. Details about accessing Red Wings games on DSN are expected to be released this summer. The Tigers’ move to DSN follows strong viewership numbers from the 2025 season, during which the team saw a 121% increase in average per-game streamers and a 101% rise in per-game household impressions. Only five U.S. MLB teams recorded higher per-game viewership totals, with just two surpassing the Tigers’ average rating. The team’s broadcast team, led by play-by-play voices Jason Benetti and Dan Dickerson alongside analysts Andy Dirks and Dan Petry, is regarded as one of the best in baseball.#detroit_tigers #detroit_red_wings #fan_duel_sports_network #ilitch_sports_plus_entertainment #mlb_app
