The scene transitions to Moana, portrayed by Catherine Lagaʻaia, navigating daily life on her island home, Motunui. The trailer introduces key moments from the story, including Gramma Tala’s urgent warning to Moana: “Beyond our reef an evil darkness has found us. Moana, the ocean chose you. Find Maui, restore the heart of Te Fiti and save us all.” Moana’s journey takes her beyond her island, where she encounters Dwayne Johnson’s return as Maui, the demigod who aids her quest.
