Dug-up Seminary Hills-Telangkhedi Road Turns ‘Accident In Waiting’ Spot A section of the Seminary Hills-Telangkhedi Road in Nagpur has become a hazardous spot for commuters due to ongoing pipeline work that left a deep trench across the busy thoroughfare. The excavation, located near the Mother Dairy plant and NCC Group headquarters, has created a dangerous situation with inadequate safety measures, prompting concerns about potential accidents. Locals and drivers have reported that the lack of proper barricading, warning signs, and reflectors has left the area vulnerable, particularly during evening hours when streetlights are non-functional and visibility is severely limited. The trench, which splits the road, has forced vehicles into risky maneuvers. Two-wheelers are squeezed through narrow gaps, while four-wheelers are unable to navigate the road and are compelled to make U-turns, causing traffic congestion and confusion. In one alarming incident, an ambulance had to turn back due to the unsafe conditions, raising fears about the potential loss of critical time in emergencies. “Had it been an emergency, we would have lost crucial time changing the route,” said the ambulance driver, highlighting the severity of the situation. Residents and regular commuters have expressed frustration over the lack of planning and safety precautions. Deepak Korgaonkar, a local resident, warned that the absence of warning boards or lights makes the trench nearly invisible at night, increasing the risk of accidents. Another commuter added that the road, which is frequently used, has been left in an incomplete and unsafe state, with no proper measures taken to protect drivers.#dharampeth_zone #rajkumar_meshram #seminary_hills_telangkhedi_road #mother_dairy_plant #ncc_group_headquarters
