Naruto Shippuden Returns With New Anime Short After 9-Year Hiatus Studio Pierrot, the anime studio behind the Naruto franchise, has unveiled its first new anime short in nearly a decade, marking the return of the series in collaboration with PUBG Mobile. The short, released alongside the game’s Version 4.5 update, features iconic characters Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, and Kakashi Hatake as they attempt to retrieve an airdrop tied to the PUBG series. Their mission quickly turns chaotic when they encounter Jiraiya, Lady Tsunade, and an unnamed stand-in for PUBG. The situation escalates further with the unexpected arrival of Sasuke Uchiha, reigniting his rivalry with Naruto in a high-stakes showdown. The crossover event, titled PUBG Mobile x Naruto: Shippuden, runs from July 9 to September 7, 2026. It introduces a themed mode called Ninjas Assemble, which integrates elements from the Naruto series into the game’s gameplay. Players can explore meticulously recreated locations such as Hokage Rock, Naruto’s Apartment, the Hokage’s Residence, and the Ichiraku Ramen Shop, alongside iconic scenes from the anime like the Ninja Academy, Hidden Leaf Hospital, and the Valley of the End. The mode also includes unique mechanics, such as ninjutsu abilities and encounters with the Nine-Tails, one of PUBG Mobile’s largest giveaways. Additional updates for Version 4.5 include the Scuderia Ferrari HP event starting July 10, expanded World of Wonder updates with exclusive Naruto templates, and the launch of Metro Royale Chapter 33, which features Naruto-inspired encounters. Players will also unlock new Home Mode content, including the Seashell Bay Home Style and seasonal rewards. Seasonal events like Season 31, Ultimate Royale, and Crazy Chicken Day are also part of the update, alongside gameplay enhancements.#studio_pierrot #pubg_mobile #naruto_uzumaki #sakura_haruno #kakashi_hatake
