Pune-Ajni AC Express Faces Severe Delays and Passenger Complaints Nagpur: The Pune-Ajni AC Express came under criticism after arriving in Nagpur approximately five hours late on Saturday, sparking complaints from passengers about the inconvenience caused. According to Nitin Solanke, a member of the ZRUCC (Zone Railway Users’ Coordination Committee), Train No. 22123, which departed Pune at 3:15 pm on Friday, was scheduled to reach Nagpur at 5:00 am on Saturday but arrived around 10:00 am instead. The same train had previously faced an eight-hour delay while traveling from Ajni Station to Pune. Solanke highlighted that the prolonged delay left passengers stranded without adequate assistance, with no attendant available in AC coach B-3. He further alleged that the delay led to a shortage of water in the train’s toilets and that the railway administration failed to provide alternative arrangements for drinking water or other basic amenities. The ZRUCC member criticized the onboard pantry service, stating that it did not meet passengers’ needs during the delay. He emphasized that children, senior citizens, and other vulnerable travelers faced significant challenges due to the lack of timely food and water. Solanke pointed out that the delay disrupted the plans of several passengers who had intended to reach Nagpur early in the morning for work, business, or personal commitments. He questioned the quality of service on a train marketed as an AC Express, noting that passengers were paying higher fares but were not receiving corresponding levels of care. Passengers reportedly expressed frustration, with some sarcastically suggesting the train should be renamed a “passenger train” due to its frequent delays and poor facilities.#nagpur #puneajni_ac_express #nitin_solanke #zrucc #nagpur_divisional_railway_manager
