The airport, located approximately 85 kilometers from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, is designed to serve as a major passenger and cargo hub. Phase 1 of the project includes a single runway with an annual passenger capacity of 1.2 crore, alongside daily operations for around 150 flights. Officials highlighted that approximately Rs 5,000 crore has been allocated for land acquisition, while Rs 7,000 crore is being invested in construction.
