Officials confirmed that a four-layer security system will be implemented for the event. The PM’s inauguration will also include the launch of the cargo terminal and the laying of the foundation stone for a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) project. Adityanath convened a review meeting with public representatives and senior officials to discuss operational plans, security protocols, and coordination among departments to ensure all work is completed by the deadline. Present at the airport were several senior officials, including Minister-in-charge Gautam Buddha Nagar Brijesh Singh, BJP regional president Satyendra Sisodia, and other party leaders. The airport, located approximately 85 kilometers from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, is designed to serve as a major passenger and cargo hub. Phase 1 of the project includes a single runway with an annual passenger capacity of 1.2 crore, alongside daily operations for around 150 flights. Officials highlighted that approximately Rs 5,000 crore has been allocated for land acquisition, while Rs 7,000 crore is being invested in construction.
