Wind speeds were estimated at 110 mph based on the significant damage observed near its point of formation, including destruction to two farmsteads. As the tornado progressed, its size diminished, and the damage became more limited, primarily affecting trees. A second EF-1 tornado developed southeast of Greeley shortly after the first. This tornado began at 7:44 a.m., about 2 miles south-southeast of Greeley, and lifted approximately one minute later, three miles east-northeast of Oneida. Its path was the shortest of the three, measuring around 1.49 miles, with a maximum width of 100 yards. Officials noted convergent damage patterns, which are characteristic of tornado activity, including impacts on structures, crops, and trees.
