Tasmac Launches Online Liquor Ordering Portal for Customers Tasmac, the state-owned liquor distribution company in Tamil Nadu, has introduced a new online portal, Tasmace2e.in, enabling customers to order liquor remotely. The platform allows users to check the availability of their preferred brands at nearby outlets, place orders, and collect them using a QR code. This initiative aims to streamline the purchasing process while ensuring compliance with legal age restrictions and security protocols. To use the portal, customers must first verify their age, confirming they are above the legal drinking age of 21. The platform features a Shop Locator tool, enabling users to find nearby Tasmac outlets within a specified radius of 5 to 25 kilometers. Alternatively, customers can search for a specific shop by its number or district. This flexibility ensures accessibility for users across different locations within the state. Once a preferred outlet is selected, the portal displays the liquor brands available at that location. Users can browse the stock, add items to their cart, and proceed to checkout. The payment process requires entering a mobile number, which is verified via an OTP (One-Time Password) to confirm the customer’s identity. After successful payment, the system generates a receipt containing a QR code. Customers must visit the selected outlet on the same day and present the QR code at the billing counter to collect their order. Tasmac has emphasized that orders not collected within the same day will be canceled, with a Rs 10 fee deducted from the total amount. The remaining balance will be refunded to the customer. This policy ensures timely collection and reduces the risk of inventory discrepancies.
