Publisher Random House describes the plot as a harrowing tale of a couple’s struggle to secure an adoption amid a strange, frozen setting. The story’s eerie setting includes a grand, abandoned hotel filled with eccentric characters, where the couple’s quest for their child leads to deeper questions about their relationship, identity, and reality. The cast includes established actors such as Patricia Clarkson, Mads Mikkelsen, Jared Harris, and Welker White, alongside DiCaprio and Lawrence. Scorsese will direct and produce the film through his Sikelia Productions, with DiCaprio, Lawrence, and Daniel Lupi also serving as producers.
