This measure aims to maintain a constant police presence at key roads, residential areas, vulnerable locations, and strategic points without requiring additional manpower. Under the strategy, police vehicles equipped with sirens and beacon lights will remain operational at all times, ensuring that their movement and flashing lights act as a deterrent to criminal activity. The initiative applies to vehicles assigned to officers of all ranks, including senior police officials, assistant commissioners of police (ACPs), and officers stationed at police stations. Even in the absence of the officer, the vehicle will be available for patrol duties. Officials emphasized that the goal is to create a stronger visual police presence to instill public confidence and reduce street crimes. Commissioner Nangre Patil highlighted that the strategy focuses on curbing criminal activity and improving civic discipline. He explained that the visible presence of police vehicles at prominent locations, checkpoints, or public areas can discourage potential offenders.
