800 UP Hospitals Trained to Enhance Digital Health Infrastructure Under Ayushman Bharat State Agency for Comprehensive Health Insurance and Integrated Services (SACHIS) has completed training for 800 NABH-accredited hospitals across Uttar Pradesh to strengthen digital healthcare systems and improve services for beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY). The initiative aims to align hospital operations with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission standards, ensuring seamless integration of digital health procedures and resolving technical challenges faced by healthcare providers. SACHIS CEO Archana Verma highlighted that the training program focused on equipping hospitals with the necessary skills to adhere to digital health protocols, including data management, telemedicine capabilities, and patient information systems. The agency also emphasized the importance of maintaining quality standards through incentives provided under the PM-JAY scheme, encouraging hospitals to prioritize service excellence for beneficiaries. In parallel, SACHIS has intensified its enforcement actions against hospitals violating PM-JAY norms. Verma disclosed that penalties totaling Rs 1.16 crore were imposed on hospitals where complaints were deemed valid during the current financial year. As of now, approximately Rs 60 lakh of these penalties has been recovered. Hospitals that failed to clear their dues have had their payments withheld, while those repeatedly breaching guidelines have been suspended from the scheme. The agency has adopted a zero-tolerance policy toward irregularities such as unauthorized cash collection from beneficiaries and other financial violations.#ayushman_bharat #sachis #nabh #pradhan_mantri_jan_aroGYa_yojana #archana_verma
