2-Day World Cup Festival In Prince George's Celebrates FIFA Games Prince George’s County, Maryland, is set to host a two-day World Cup Festival to commemorate the return of the men’s FIFA World Cup to the United States. The event, organized in partnership with EagleSport Holdings, will take place at the Prince George’s County Sports and Learning Complex in Landover and will feature a mix of cultural, sporting, and community activities designed to celebrate the global soccer event. The festival coincides with the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which marks the first time the tournament will be held in three host nations: the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The 2026 FIFA World Cup will feature matches in 11 U.S. cities, including Boston, Massachusetts; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and East Rutherford, New Jersey. Philadelphia’s iconic stadium will host six matches, including a historic July 4 showdown, while Boston Stadium will host multiple games in Massachusetts. New York and New Jersey will collectively host eight matches. The U.S. return to hosting the World Cup, which last occurred in 1994, has sparked widespread excitement, with Prince George’s County aiming to leverage the event to showcase its cultural diversity and economic potential. The Prince George’s County World Cup Festival will run from June 12 to June 13, 2026, offering residents and visitors a free, family-friendly celebration.
