Yamaha R2: Price and Variants Explained The Yamaha R2, a new 200cc supersport motorcycle, was officially launched on August 27 after months of anticipation from buyers and teasers from the brand. Positioned as a step-up from the popular R15 model, the R2 is Yamaha’s first entry into the 200cc category and comes in three distinct variants, each offering different levels of features and customization options. The motorcycle is designed to cater to a range of riders, from casual commuters to track enthusiasts, with varying price points and specifications. All variants of the R2 are powered by a new 204cc liquid-cooled engine, delivering 26.5 horsepower at 10,000 rpm and 19.1 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster, traction control, an assist and slipper clutch, three riding modes, a 37 mm USD front fork, a rear linkage monoshock, and dual-channel ABS.
