The incident occurred around 1:30 am when Mohammad Huzefa Mohammad Arif and five friends were traveling to Akola for tea. The collision caused severe damage to the vehicle, leading to the fatalities of Mohammad Talha Mohammad Anees, Mohammad Anas Mohammad Saeed, Abdul Avez Mohammad Akil, and Mohammad Anves Abdul Salim, all residents of Badnera’s old town. The surviving occupants, Mohammad Ashar and Mohammad Anas Mohammad Anees, were hospitalized at RIMS Hospital with serious injuries. Mohammad Javed Sheikh Afzal, a local resident, filed a complaint with the Badnera police, prompting an investigation into the incident. The case has been registered under sections 106(1), 125(A), 125(B), 281 of the BNS Act, as well as sections 134 and 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act. Police Inspector Subordinate (PSI) Sanjay Deshmukh is leading the probe and is actively searching for the truck driver. The police have not yet identified the driver or the vehicle involved, though authorities are working to gather evidence and trace the truck’s origin.
