SASTRA University Releases Engineering Admission Rank List for 2026-27 Academic Year The SASTRA Deemed University has officially released the engineering admission rank list for the academic year 2026-27, with R. Abhinav from Chennai securing the top position in both Stream 1 and Stream 2 of the admissions process. Abhinav achieved a Class XII score of 97.8% and a JEE Main score of 99.6909, making him the highest-ranked candidate in the competition. The rank list was announced on June 5, 2026, following the completion of the admissions cycle for the institution. The university received over 37,000 applications from students across India for the engineering programs. Admissions to 50% of the available seats were conducted under Stream 1, which prioritized candidates based on their Class XII aggregate scores and JEE Main results. The remaining 50% of seats were allocated through Stream 2, which relied solely on Class XII aggregate scores. This dual-stream approach allowed for a more comprehensive evaluation of applicants, balancing academic performance with standardized test outcomes. SASTRA University also reserved 20% of its seats for students from the Tiruchi and Thanjavur regions, reflecting its commitment to regional educational equity. Additionally, the institution provided special provisions for students from the North Eastern States, Jammu & Kashmir, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and Lakshadweep, ensuring access to higher education for students from these geographically and economically distinct areas. The university’s Vice-Chancellor, S. Vaidhyasubramaniam, highlighted the importance of the rank list in determining admission outcomes and emphasized the institution’s dedication to maintaining transparency in the process.#tiruchi #thanjavur #sastra_university #r_abhinav #s_vaidhyasubramaniam
