Simple Wave Scooter Launched at Rs 1.10 Lakh Bengaluru-based electric vehicle (EV) startup Simple has officially launched its family-oriented scooter, the Wave, priced starting at Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). The scooter, which was first spotted testing in March 2026 under the development name "Arrive," is positioned as a mass-market offering compared to Simple’s performance-focused One and One S models. Deliveries are set to begin on September 25, 2026, with the company confirming that the launch marks a significant step in its strategy to expand its product lineup. The Wave is available in four variants, each differing by battery capacity and range. The base variant, the Wave S, comes with two battery options: a 2.2kWh unit offering an IDC range of 110km and a 2.7kWh battery providing 132km of range. The middle variant, the Wave, features a 3.7kWh battery for 171km of range, while the top-tier Wave + variant boasts a 5kWh battery, claimed to deliver up to 243km of range—making it the longest-range scooter in its segment. The scooter’s design and engineering reflect updates from Simple’s One range. The Wave adopts a twin-shock rear suspension system, replacing the monoshock setup of the One series, and includes a notably longer 920mm seat, claimed to be the longest in India. Storage capacity has also been enhanced, with 63 litres of underseat space, 3 litres in a front apron cubby, and 4 litres in a quick-access pocket on the rider’s left side (referred to as "Pill Storage"). An identical pocket for the right side is offered as an accessory. Powertrain upgrades are a key highlight. The Wave features a third-generation 6.4kW motor and an updated Battery Management System (BMS), with the motor’s size reduced by 15% compared to previous models.
