OnePlus India CEO Robin Liu Steps Down, Company Gives Update on India Operations OnePlus India’s chief executive officer, Robin Liu, has resigned from his position, the company confirmed in a statement. The announcement comes amid reports of a broader restructuring effort by the Chinese smartphone manufacturer across global markets. Liu, who joined OnePlus in 2018, was thanked by the company for his contributions to the India operations. In a statement, OnePlus India said, “We thank Robin for his contributions to OnePlus India. He moves on to pursue his personal passions, and we wish him the very best for his future endeavours.” The company also reassured stakeholders that its India operations continue with a focus on local strategy and ensuring business continuity. According to a report by the Economic Times, Liu was reportedly asked to report to Sky Li, the CEO of Realme, who has been elevated within the Oppo group to oversee sub-brand operations. Previously, Liu and Li were considered equal in managing their respective sub-brands. Liu had previously addressed rumors about OnePlus shutting down its India operations, clarifying in a January 2026 post on X (formerly Twitter) that “unverified reports claiming OnePlus is shutting down are false” and that “OnePlus India's business operations continue as normal.” He urged stakeholders to verify information from official sources before sharing unconfirmed claims. The company’s recent performance has been marked by declining sales. A report by PTI, citing data from Cybermedia Research, noted a 32 percent drop in OnePlus shipments in 2025. International Data Corporation (IDC) estimated an even steeper decline, at 38.8 percent year-on-year.#realme #oneplus #oneplus_india #robin_liu #sky_li
