Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian military, Amir Hatami, stated during a ceremony in Tehran that this strategy has weakened the United States' military dominance and compelled several nations to seek alternative security options. Hatami criticized former U.S. President Donald Trump's claim that Iran's defeat would result in the declaration of the Strait of Hormuz as American territory. According to The Jerusalem Post, Hatami asserted that Iran has effectively forced the U.S. military to retreat, leaving them without access to the Persian Gulf, Oman Sea, or the Strait of Hormuz. Iran also accused Qatar of detaining three of its pilots since March 2, claiming they were captured during the initial days of the conflict between Iran, the U.S., and Israel. The Iranian military's committee searching for missing personnel, led by General Seyed Mohammad Bagherzadeh, alleged that the pilots, including Jawad Salehie, Abdulmajeed Dastiyani, and Umaran Behraveshian, were taken by Qatari authorities after their Su-24 aircraft was shot down. Bagherzadeh noted that one pilot, Majid Kazemi, had died, and Iran had no prior knowledge of their whereabouts. They requested the Red Cross to investigate their status and allow their families to reunite with them.
