Kuch bada karunga: Family, friends recall Uttam Nagar man’s dedication New Delhi: Tarun Butolia, a 26-year-old man from Uttam Nagar, was remembered by his family and friends for his unwavering dedication to fitness and combat sports. Over eight years, he transformed his physique, showcasing his progress through high-energy social media posts that highlighted his strength and discipline. Videos of him deadlifting nearly 100 kg and performing chest presses became a testament to his commitment. His journey from a scrawny teenager to a well-built individual was chronicled on Instagram, reflecting his passion for physical fitness. Butolia’s life took a tragic turn when he was beaten to death near his home in Uttam Nagar, allegedly by neighbors over a dispute during Holi. The incident has sparked outrage, with his family and friends mourning his loss. Police have arrested 14 individuals in connection with the case. Butolia, who had enrolled in a Bachelor’s in Computer Application course, was forced to discontinue his studies in the second year during the pandemic. To support himself, he took up part-time work to save money. His uncle, Tek Chand, shared how the pandemic disrupted his plans, prompting him to pursue a digital marketing course. “He wanted to start a business,” Chand said. Another relative, Vinod Kumar, recalled Tarun’s confidence in his future, including his plan to launch a digital marketing venture within two years. “The last thing I remember him telling me was ‘kuch bada karunga’ (I will do something big). He was full of life,” Kumar said. Beyond his fitness goals, Butolia was deeply spiritual, frequently traveling to religious sites like Kedarnath, Rishikesh, Ayodhya, and Varanasi. He also visited the Hanuman Temple in Connaught Place every Tuesday.#uttam_nagar #tarun_butolia #vishwa_hindu_parishad #vinod_kumar #connaught_place
