Instagram Launches Instants Feature for Real-Time Sharing Instagram has introduced a new feature called Instants, designed to let users share moments with friends as they happen. The feature, which is available globally on the main Instagram app, allows users to capture and share photos and videos instantly, with options to customize who sees the content and how it’s managed. A separate standalone Instants app is also being rolled out in select countries, offering quicker access to the camera for users. The Instants feature includes several key functions. Users can add a caption to their posts before sharing, unlike Stories, and cannot edit the content after posting. Sharing options are limited to Close Friends or mutual followers, ensuring privacy. Friends can react, reply, and share Instants as well. The feature also includes an undo button that appears immediately after sharing, allowing users to retract posts before they are seen by friends. Additional tools for managing Instants include an archive where shared content is stored privately, accessible only to the user. Users can compile Instants from the archive into a recap and post it to Stories for broader visibility. The snooze function lets users temporarily hide Instants from their inbox by swiping right, and they can be reactivated by swiping left. The standalone Instants app is being tested in select regions and provides direct access to the camera. Users can log in with their existing Instagram account, and Instants shared on the app will appear on Instagram and vice versa. This app aims to streamline the sharing process, making it faster and more intuitive for users. Safety and privacy measures are integrated into Instants, mirroring Instagram’s existing protections.#instagram #instants #instagram_app #standalone_instants_app #teen_accounts
