THE FEAR OF 13 Launches In-Person Rush and Digital Lottery Policies In-person rush and digital lottery policies have been announced for the Broadway premiere of Lindsey Ferrentino’s new play, The Fear of 13, starring two-time Academy Award winner Adrien Brody and Golden Globe Award nominee Tessa Thompson in their Broadway debuts. Based on the documentary directed by David Sington, the play will be directed by Tony Award winner David Cromer. Performances are set to begin on Thursday, March 19, with an opening night scheduled for Wednesday, April 15, at the James Earl Jones Theatre (138 West 48th Street). In-person rush tickets will be available at the theatre’s box office starting when it opens each performance day for $45, subject to availability. These tickets are limited to two per person and are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. For the digital lottery, entries open at 12 a.m. the day before a scheduled performance, with winners announced at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Each winner may purchase up to two tickets at $45 each. The digital lottery can be accessed at rush.telecharge.com. The Fear of 13 follows the true story of Nick Yarris, who spent over two decades on death row for a murder he claims he did not commit. Through visits with a volunteer named Jacki, Nick reflects on a life shaped by impulsive decisions and their consequences. As their conversations deepen, the boundaries between observer and participant blur, forcing both to grapple with questions of justice, belief, and the fragile line between genuine freedom and the illusion of self-determination. The play is described as a compelling exploration of truth, trust, conscience, and human connection, blending elements of devastation, dark humor, and hope.#tessa_thompson #adrien_brody #james_earl_jones_theatre #the_fear_of_13 #david_cromer
