Before Raksha Bandhan, 300 Kg Of 'Unfit' Paneer Seized And Destroyed In Noida The Uttar Pradesh Food Safety Administration conducted a raid in Noida ahead of the Raksha Bandhan festival, seizing and destroying approximately 300 kilograms of paneer deemed unfit for consumption. The operation, carried out by a team of food safety officers, targeted dairy units in the region, with the seized paneer sourced from Mewat, Haryana. The decision to destroy the product followed laboratory analysis confirming its unsuitability for human consumption. Authorities initiated the campaign under the directive of the Commissioner of the Food Safety and Drug Administration, Uttar Pradesh, and the District Magistrate, aiming to ensure the availability of safe and high-quality milk and dairy products during the festive season. Food safety officers Vishal Gupta and Ritu Saxena led the inspection at a dairy in Garhi Chaukhandi, Noida, where the paneer was found to be substandard. After collecting one sample for testing, the remaining paneer was destroyed on-site. The operation expanded to multiple locations across Noida and Greater Noida. On August 22, Gupta intercepted a vehicle near the DND Flyover transporting paneer from Kilokhari, Bulandshahr, to Delhi, and collected a sample. The following day, Food Safety Officer Amar Bahadur Saroj gathered a paneer sample from a dairy in Sector-88 Noida Mandi. In Tughalpur, Greater Noida, a team comprising Mukesh Kumar, Vijay Bahadur Patel, and Ravindra Nath Verma collected samples of paneer and curd from a dairy. Additionally, paneer supplied to a shop in Knowledge Park-2 was sampled. Food Safety Officer O.P.
