Hyundai Launches Updated Verna Sedan at ₹10.98 Lakh Hyundai Motor India has unveiled a refreshed version of its Verna mid-size sedan, introducing over 25 changes across design, technology, and safety to counter the growing dominance of SUVs in the segment. The updated model, priced from ₹10,98,400 (ex-showroom), was launched in Gurugram with a focus on modernizing the sedan’s appeal while reinforcing its position in a market where sedan sales have declined over recent years. The Verna, first introduced in India in 2006, has long been a top-selling sedan, but the segment has faced sustained pressure from SUVs and crossovers. Hyundai’s latest update aims to reinvigorate the model by incorporating advanced features and refining its design. The changes include a redesigned front fascia with a black chrome radiator grille, dual LED projector headlamps, and a new bumper design. The exterior also features R16 diamond-cut alloy wheels, while the car retains the longest wheelbase (2,670 mm) and widest body (1,765 mm) in its class. Two new color options—Classy Blue and Titan Grey Matte—expand the palette to six monotone and one dual-tone variant. Safety has been a key focus of the update. The Verna now includes Hyundai’s SmartSense Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), which bundles 20 features such as forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and driver attention warning. The model also introduces seven airbags as standard on select variants, covering driver, front passenger, side, curtain, and centre-side positions. Additional safety features include a dashcam, blind-spot view monitor, rain-sensing wipers, and a baseline of 35 safety features across all variants.#gurugram #hyundai_motor_india #verna #hyundai_smart_sense #bluelink
