Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment Announces Lee Cronin’s The Mummy Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment has announced the release of Lee Cronin’s The Mummy, an original reimagining of the classic mummy genre. The film, produced by New Line Cinema and directed by writer/director/executive producer Lee Cronin, will debut digitally at home on May 19. Physical releases, including 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD, will follow on July 14. The film stars Jack Reynor, Laia Costa, May Calamawy, Natalie Grace, and Veronica Falcón. Cronin, known for his work on Evil Dead Rise, brings his signature style to this twisted retelling of the iconic horror story. The plot follows the harrowing journey of a family reuniting after the disappearance of the mother’s young daughter in the desert eight years earlier. What begins as a joyous reunion spirals into a living nightmare as the family confronts the dark truths of their past. The home entertainment releases include a range of language and subtitle options. 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray versions will feature English, Canadian French, Latin Spanish, Castilian Spanish, German, Italian, Japanese, Czech, and additional subtitles in Finnish, Norwegian, Swedish, Dutch, Danish, and Complex Chinese. DVD releases will include English, Canadian French, Latin Spanish, and Japanese, with subtitles in English, Parisian French, Latin Spanish, and Japanese. The film runs for 134 minutes and is rated R for strong disturbing violent content, gore, language, and brief drug use. Technical features of the 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray editions include ATMOS TrueHD and Dolby Digital.
