Woman Molested: Police File Chargesheet in 14 Hours A final-year arts student in Nagpur alleged that a neighbor molested her inside her residence, prompting authorities to file a chargesheet within 14 hours of the incident. The victim, identified as a young canine lover, claimed the accused, Vaibhav Brahme, entered her home under the pretense that her dog had bitten him. During the confrontation, Brahme allegedly grabbed her hand in an inappropriate manner before molesting her. The incident occurred on April 1, but the case was registered shortly after Monday midnight as the complainant delayed making her decision. Kapil Nagar police, under the jurisdiction of the station, swiftly acted by registering an FIR, issuing notices to the accused, recording electronic statements, conducting a panchnama, and filing the chargesheet—all completed within 14 hours. The FIR detailed Brahme’s alleged actions, including his use of abusive and obscene language before forcibly entering the house. The victim raised an alarm, and her parents arrived to assist. Brahme allegedly threatened the family with further harm afterward. The investigation was led by sub-inspector Yogesh Nalte, supervised by senior inspector Satish Ade. Brahme was produced before Zonal DCP Sandeep Pakhale, and police followed Supreme Court guidelines by issuing a notice to the accused. After obtaining necessary undertakings, Brahme was released while legal proceedings continued. Nalte completed the probe and filed the chargesheet in court, citing evidence such as CCTV footage, forensic reports, and witness statements. Senior inspector Ade emphasized that the rapid filing of the chargesheet reflects Nagpur City Police’s commitment to women’s safety and zero tolerance for crimes against women.#woman_molested #vaibhav_brahme #kapil_nagar_police #yogesh_nalte #sandeep_pakhale
