According to officials, the fountain requires the installation of nearly 76,000 metres of cable, with approximately 70,000 metres already laid. A prominent Banyan Tree structure has also been erected at the centre of Futala Lake, designed to showcase Nagpur’s history and heritage through advanced audio-visual technology. This structure is anticipated to become a central feature of the fountain show, enhancing the visitor experience. French engineering expert Basile recently visited Nagpur to assess the system’s condition and guide the repair process. His insights are crucial as the project relies on components sourced from Paris, which are currently in the process of being ordered. Authorities have indicated that the work order for these materials is expected to be finalized soon, with the components likely to reach Nagpur within six weeks. To expedite the process, officials are exploring the possibility of transporting the equipment via passenger aircraft instead of cargo flights. This change aims to reduce transit time and ensure the components arrive promptly.
