SUV Overturns on Samruddhi Expressway After Tyre Burst, One Critical A severe accident occurred on the Samruddhi Expressway in Buldhana district on Sunday when an SUV overturned after one of its tyres burst, leaving one person critically injured and nine others with minor injuries. The incident took place around 11:35 am near Channel No. 325.3 on the Nagpur corridor of the expressway, in the Pangra-Malkapur area. The police team, led by sub-inspector Anita Irshid, arrived at the scene approximately 12:05 pm following reports from the Central Road Operations (CRO) in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The driver of the SUV, Hemant Vishwakarma (24), a resident of Rajnandgaon in Chhattisgarh, recounted that he and his friends were traveling from Nashik to Nagpur when the rear-left tyre of the vehicle burst. This caused him to lose control of the SUV, leading to the vehicle overturning. Among the injured, Aman Sahu (25) sustained serious injuries, while Tikesh Bande, Ravi Sahu, Yash Sahu, Devesh Sahu, Hemant Vishwakarma, Vasu Sahu, Vicky Sahu, Kishan Vishwakarma, and Naveen Sahu suffered minor injuries. All the injured were transported by ambulance to the government hospital in Sindkhed Raja for treatment. The overturned SUV was removed from the scene using a crane and taken to the Dusrabid toll plaza by around 1:25 pm. Authorities confirmed that there was no significant disruption to traffic movement following the accident.
