Mohan Bhagwat: World Peace Requires Strong Nations and Defense Capabilities Mohan Bhagwat, the head of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), asserted on Sunday that global peace cannot be achieved without nations prioritizing robust defense capabilities. Speaking at the Nag Bhushan Puraskar 2025 event in Nagpur, Bhagwat emphasized that only powerful nations could protect the righteous and maintain stability. The ceremony honored Padma Shri recipient Satyanarayan Nuwal and young athlete Daksh Khante, with Union minister Nitin Gadkari and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in attendance. Bhagwat argued that a nation’s future would be determined not by economic size but by its defense strength. He highlighted the importance of building such capabilities to ensure global stability, stating that India must focus on this to counter threats. He also warned against the dangers of power falling into the wrong hands, noting that individuals lacking character could misuse knowledge, power, and wealth to create conflict and oppression. Conversely, he praised virtuous leaders who use their resources to enlighten, protect, and uplift others. Bhagwat drew attention to the imbalance between powerful nations and virtuous leaders, citing examples of countries with great strength but poor leadership that had faltered. He praised Nuwal and Khante for their achievements, stressing that their success was rooted in humility and gratitude. “What Nuwal has done, what Khante has done — the glory is theirs,” he said, adding that Nagpur residents felt pride in their accomplishments, believing such achievements could emerge from the region. Bhagwat also emphasized that 90% of success stems from hard work and perseverance, which he argued are essential for inspiring future generations.#rashtriya_swayamsevak_sangh #mohan_bhagwat #nag_bhushan_puraskar_2025 #satyanarayan_nuwal #daksh_khante
