19-year-old Serial Robber Arrested in Ganga Jamuna The Lakadganj police in Nagpur arrested a 19-year-old serial robber, Abdul Arman, in the city’s notorious Ganga Jamuna area on Tuesday. The arrest followed a series of looting and assault incidents that had plagued the region, prompting a coordinated crackdown by law enforcement. Acting on directives from Chief Police Officer Ravinder Singal and Deputy Commissioner of Police Rahul Madane (zone 3), a team led by Senior Police Inspector Mukund Kawade and the detection squad conducted intensive patrolling and special operations in the area. The operation culminated in the arrest of Arman, a resident of Jafar Nagar, who is believed to be a repeat offender. The arrest came after an incident on Monday, during which two unidentified suspects waylaid a complainant on the route between Azamshah Chowk and Masurkar Chowk. The accused allegedly threatened the victim with a knife and robbed him of cash. An FIR was registered at Lakadganj police station against the perpetrators, but the identities of the suspects remained unknown until the police, leveraging local intelligence, solved the case within 24 hours. The special team formed by the authorities identified Arman as a key figure in the gang responsible for the attack. Police have initiated stringent measures against Arman, who is suspected of being involved in multiple crimes. Interrogation is ongoing to uncover his connections with other criminal networks and to resolve previously unreported cases. Senior Inspector Kawade emphasized the police’s commitment to maintaining law and order in the Ganga Jamuna area, stating, “We have been conducting regular patrolling, nakabandi, and special search operations in the Ganga Jamuna area and nearby pockets to control incidents of looting.#rahul_madane #ravinder_singal #ganga_jamuna #lakadganj_police #abudl_arman
