Lakadganj Cop Installs 12 CCTVs to Strengthen Surveillance in Ganga Jamuna Red-Light Area Senior Inspector Mukund Kawade of Lakadganj Police Station has taken the initiative to install 12 CCTV cameras in the Ganga Jamuna red-light area, aiming to enhance round-the-clock surveillance and combat crimes such as minor trafficking and assaults. The cameras, strategically placed at key entry and exit points, narrow lanes, and other vulnerable locations, are designed to monitor the area effectively. Live feeds from the cameras are transmitted directly to Kawade’s mobile phone and tablet, enabling real-time monitoring. Kawade emphasized that the initiative was driven by the need to address the high incidence of crimes in the region, including trafficking and assaults. He stated that the surveillance system would help track traffickers and prevent incidents like robberies and other offenses. The police officer noted that the project was implemented without waiting for official infrastructure support, highlighting his proactive approach to public safety. Zonal Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Rahul Madane is overseeing the system, ensuring that the real-time data is utilized for preventive actions. Madane remarked that the Lakadganj team is now better equipped to respond to incidents promptly, leading to increased rescues, arrests, and preventive measures. The surveillance network also allows Madane to monitor the area continuously, enhancing the police’s ability to address emerging threats. The installation of the CCTVs marks a significant step in improving security in the Ganga Jamuna area, which has long been associated with criminal activities.#mukund_kawade #lakadganj_police_station #ganga_jamuna_red_light_area #zonal_deputy_commissioner_of_police_rahul_madane #crime_prevention
