adidas HyperBOOST EDGE—The Shoe Preferred by Four-in-Five Runners Adidas is continuing its legacy of innovation with the release of the HyperBOOST EDGE, a new silhouette that marks the brand’s most significant midsole evolution since the introduction of BOOST in 2013. Positioned as a “supertrainer” within its running lineup, the shoe features a groundbreaking cushioning system called HyperBOOST PRO. This material is at least 40% lighter than standard BOOST and offers an average of 20% higher energy return compared to other BOOST products, according to the brand. Adidas claims that a study conducted at the University of Cologne found that four out of five runners who tested the HyperBOOST EDGE perceived softer cushioning than their existing footwear. These athletes also reported a stronger energy return from the new trainer. While the shoe’s design includes a small plastic element in the outsole, it lacks the rigid feel of some of the brand’s other Torsion System models. Visually, the HyperBOOST EDGE shares similarities with adidas’ top-tier road running models but diverges in key design aspects. The sleek upper features no 3-Stripes branding, which has been relocated to the midsole. A striped pattern across the foam’s top half indicates where the foot sits, while callouts to the shoe’s name and cushioning system are displayed on the spine and medial midsole. The debut colorway, dubbed “Hyper Crush,” draws inspiration from the anatomy of the foot. Additional color variations are expected to be released throughout the year. Adidas also plans to integrate HyperBOOST PRO technology into other footwear designs across multiple sports. The HyperBOOST EDGE will be available globally starting March 17 via adidas.com for $200.#adidas #hyperboost_edge #university_of_cologne #hyperboost_pro #hyper_crush
