Georgia Teacher Dies in Prank Involving Teens A Georgia teacher died after being struck by a vehicle during a prank involving teenagers, authorities reported. Jason Hughes, a math teacher and golf coach at North Hall High School, was fatally injured when he was run over by a car driven by one of the teens involved in the incident. The event occurred on Saturday in Hall County, where a group of teenagers had gathered at Hughes’ home to participate in a "rolling" prank. According to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, the teens had gone to a residence on the 4400 block of North Gate Drive to roll toilet paper across the yard. While they were there, Hughes emerged from his home. The group then split into two vehicles and attempted to flee the scene. As Hughes walked toward the street, he tripped and fell into the roadway. He was struck by the car driven by 18-year-old Jayden Ryan Wallace, who was among the teens. Wallace and the others stopped to assist Hughes until first responders arrived, but Hughes succumbed to his injuries. Wallace now faces felony charges of first-degree vehicular homicide and reckless driving. He also stands accused of criminal trespass and littering on private property. Four other teenagers, including Elijah Tate Owens, Aiden Hucks, Ana Katherine Luque, and Ariana Cruz, are charged with misdemeanor counts of trespass and littering. All the teens were arrested at the scene. The Hall County School District confirmed that Hughes was a dedicated educator and coach. The school’s website listed him as a math teacher, while the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, a school-affiliated group, noted his role as a golf coach.#hall_county #north_hall_high_school #jason_hughes #jayden_ryan_wallace #fellowship_of_christian_athletes
