He was struck by the car driven by 18-year-old Jayden Ryan Wallace, who was among the teens. Wallace and the others stopped to assist Hughes until first responders arrived, but Hughes succumbed to his injuries. Wallace now faces felony charges of first-degree vehicular homicide and reckless driving. He also stands accused of criminal trespass and littering on private property. Four other teenagers, including Elijah Tate Owens, Aiden Hucks, Ana Katherine Luque, and Ariana Cruz, are charged with misdemeanor counts of trespass and littering.
