MPPSC Reschedules State Service Mains 2025 to Avoid UPSC Clash; Exams Now from August 8 to 13 The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has revised the schedule for the State Service Main Examination-2025 to avoid a conflict with the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Main Examination 2026. The revised dates, set for August 8 to August 13, 2026, replace the original schedule of August 17 to August 22, 2026, following objections from candidates who feared overlapping exams would compromise their preparation for both prestigious civil services exams. The initial timetable, announced on Friday, had placed two MPPSC examination papers on August 21 and 22, 2026, coinciding with the UPSC Civil Services Main Examination, which begins on August 21. Candidates preparing for both exams raised concerns that the overlap would force them to prioritize one over the other, potentially jeopardizing their career prospects. In response, the MPPSC convened a meeting on Saturday and adjusted the schedule to advance the exam dates, ensuring candidates could participate in both exams without scheduling conflicts. The revised schedule, effective from August 8 to August 13, 2026, aims to provide flexibility for aspirants. The decision follows a legal process that initially delayed the exam. The MPPSC had sought interim relief from the Madhya Pradesh High Court, which allowed the examination to proceed while directing that results be kept sealed until further orders. The court’s clearance enabled the commission to release the original schedule, but the UPSC clash prompted the revision. Applications for the State Service Main Examination-2025 will open on June 25, 2026, and close on July 15, 2026.#union_public_service_commission #madhya_pradesh_public_service_commission #madhya_pradesh_high_court #ravindra_panchbhai #mppsccivil_services_main_examination
