MP Hospitals Launch Large-Scale Doctor Recruitment Drive, Release Largest Selection List to Date The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has announced the results of the medical officer recruitment examination, marking what is being called the largest selection list in the state’s history. The process, which involved 4,047 candidates competing for 1,832 positions, concluded after a rigorous 45-day interview phase conducted by two panels. The final results, split into two parts, have now been released, with 87% of the positions accounted for in the first batch. The recruitment process began on 27 January, with candidates from diverse backgrounds applying for the roles. The interviews, held across Indore, were completed by 10 April, and the selection list was officially published on 9 May 2026. The first round of results includes 1,649 selected candidates, with 1,220 confirmed appointments and 186 placed on a waiting list. The remaining 13% of positions will be finalized in a subsequent phase, as per administrative guidelines. The distribution of selected candidates reflects the state’s reservation policies. Among the 1,649 appointments, 384 are from the general category, 225 from Scheduled Castes (SC), 642 from Scheduled Tribes (ST), 197 from Other Backward Classes (OBC), and 201 from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). The MPPSC emphasized that the selection process adhered strictly to merit and reservation norms, ensuring equitable representation across demographics. The initiative is expected to significantly bolster healthcare infrastructure in the state. With a shortage of medical professionals in both urban and rural areas, the recruitment aims to address critical staffing gaps.#madhya_pradesh_public_service_commission #indore #rajendra_shukla #ravindra_panchbhai #mppscc_medical_officer_recruitment
