Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge Becomes Third Highest-Grossing Indian Franchise Director Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, has solidified its place in Indian cinema history by becoming the third highest-grossing film franchise in the country. The sequel, which recently crossed the Rs 900 crore mark at the worldwide box office, has surpassed the earnings of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa franchise to claim the third position. With a total collection of Rs 919 crore, the film’s domestic earnings stand at Rs 687.43 crore, while its overseas haul is estimated at Rs 231.57 crore. The franchise’s overall gross, combining the first film (Dhurandhar) and the sequel, now totals an estimated Rs 2,219 crore. This places it behind the Baahubali franchise, which has earned Rs 2,462 crore across its three releases, and the YRF spy universe, which leads the rankings with an estimated Rs 3,195 crore. The Dhurandhar franchise is now on track to challenge the Baahubali record, though its success will depend on the upcoming animated film Baahubali: The Eternal War. Despite its impressive run, Dhurandhar 2 fell short of matching Pushpa 2’s record for the fastest film to cross Rs 1,000 crore. Pushpa 2 achieved the milestone in just six days, while Dhurandhar 2 is expected to reach the mark on Day 7. The film’s box office journey is still ongoing, with trade analysts closely monitoring its performance. Internationally, Dhurandhar 2 set new benchmarks for Hindi-language films. Its overseas opening weekend grossed USD 22.8 million, marking the highest for an Indian film without Gulf territories. The film also recorded the highest single-day gross for an Indian film on Saturday, with USD 6.2 million.#aditya_dhar #ranveer_singh #dhurandhar_the_revenge #baahubali_franchise #pushpa_franchise
