Razorpay Partners With Sarvam AI To Let Indians Shop And Pay Using Voice Commands In Local Languages Payments firm Razorpay has partnered with Bengaluru-based artificial intelligence startup Sarvam AI to develop voice-driven commerce capabilities for Indian users, according to a report by Business Standard. The collaboration combines Sarvam's AI models and agentic technology with Razorpay's payment infrastructure, enabling users to browse products, place orders, and complete transactions through spoken conversations in multiple Indian languages. The system is designed to interpret user intent and manage the entire transaction process without requiring users to interact with traditional app interfaces. Food delivery platform Swiggy will be among the first to implement this feature on the Indus App, allowing users to place food orders by speaking to an AI assistant. Businesses can also integrate similar voice-commerce tools into their platforms. An early deployment has already launched on The Derma Co website, enabling customers to explore and purchase products using voice commands. Sarvam AI's technology will also be integrated into Razorpay's Agent Studio, providing developers with the ability to create multilingual AI agents capable of conversing with users in Hindi, Hinglish, and other Indian languages. Separately, Razorpay announced a partnership with another Indian AI firm, Gnani.ai, last month. That collaboration introduced an agentic AI collections platform, allowing businesses to process payment transactions during live customer calls. The Gnani.ai system enables an AI agent to assess intent, generate payment requests including UPI links, and confirm transactions within a single interaction. Unlike the Sarvam collaboration, which covers the full commerce journey from product discovery to checkout, the Gnani.#swiggy #sarvam_ai #razorpay #the_dermaco #gnani_ai
