Court records indicate the alleged duplicate registrations were linked to Shanthinagar in Bengaluru, Serilingampally in Telangana, and two locations in Velachery, Tamil Nadu. Under Election Commission rules, an individual can only be enrolled as a voter at one ordinary residence. Prakash Raj’s legal team argued that the court summons never reached him, and he became aware of the case through media reports. They claimed the court had not sent any official notice, prompting the court to recall the warrant. The 48th Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) Court in Bengaluru heard the actor’s counsel on Friday, reviewed submissions from both sides, and decided to withdraw the non-bailable warrant.
