Dhurandhar Row: Bombay High Court restrains plagiarism accuser; relief for director Aditya Dhar In a recent development surrounding Dhurandhar The Revenge, the Bombay High Court has granted interim relief to director Aditya Dhar by restricting filmmaker Santosh Kumar from making further public statements about the film that could harm his reputation. The order was passed on Wednesday by Justice Arif Doctor after hearing submissions made on behalf of Dhar. The court noted that, at this stage, Dhar had presented sufficient grounds to seek protection, and directed Kumar to refrain from repeating or issuing any statements against the filmmaker or his film until the matter is heard again. As Aditya told me, it was insanity the way they have pulled off this film. What is the cost of shooting the actual end product? How much did it cost? Aditya told me it's about Rs. 255 crores. Yes, both the films together cost a paltry Rs 255 crores to shoot. Originally, it was meant to be one film only. But an 8-hour film seemed out of the question. Hence, Dhurandhar was split into two. According to a report by The Indian Express, the civic body has recommended permanent blacklisting of the production house from seeking future filming permissions, citing repeated breaches of conditions. According to officials from the BMC’s A ward office, a letter has been sent to the Deputy Municipal Commissioner (Zone 1) proposing that B62 Studios be barred from applying for shooting permissions through the state-run portal managed by the Maharashtra Film, Stage and Cultural Development Corporation Limited.
