Dhurandhar The Revenge controversy settles: Santosh Kumar apologises to Aditya Dhar and team, Bombay High Court closes defamation suit The legal tussle involving Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar The Revenge has, for the time being, reached a resolution after the Bombay High Court disposed of a defamation case. The development came after filmmaker Santosh Kumar formally apologised for his earlier public remarks. The dispute traces back to March 2026, when Kumar accused Dhar of lifting the storyline for Dhurandhar The Revenge from his own script titled D-Saheb. He claimed that his script had been officially registered with the Screenwriters Association in 2023. These allegations were made during a press conference, following which Dhar approached the High Court, arguing that the statements were defamatory and had harmed his professional reputation. As reported by Live Law, the matter was heard by a single-judge bench presided over by Justice Arif Doctor, who ultimately closed the case after Kumar issued an unconditional apology in court. The official order recorded that Kumar’s counsel submitted the apology for statements made during the March 30, 2026 press interaction. Dhar’s legal representative informed the court that, in view of the apology, his client no longer wished to continue pursuing the defamation suit or seek damages. Accepting the apology, Dhar agreed that the matter could be concluded, leading the court to dispose of the case, noting that no further issues remained ... #High_Court #Aditya_Dhar #Aditya #Bombay_High #Bombay #Revenge_controversy #Santosh_Kumar #involving_Aditya #Kumar_apologises #controversy_settles

Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar controversy: Santosh Kumar RS agrees to stay silent on Aditya Dhar amid court proceedings The ongoing controversy surrounding Dhurandhar The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, has taken a fresh turn, with filmmaker Santosh Kumar RS agreeing to refrain from making any further public remarks against director Aditya Dhar. As per reports, the matter came up before the Bombay High Court, where Santosh Kumar’s legal representative conveyed that the filmmaker would avoid speaking about the dispute in public going forward. Instead, he would rely on appropriate legal channels to address his concerns. It was also suggested on his behalf that earlier comments were not specifically aimed at Aditya Dhar. The court, however, noted that making such an assurance enforceable in a broader sense could be challenging but decided to formally record Kumar’s commitment to avoid any further statements that could be seen as defamatory. On the other side, Aditya Dhar’s legal team pushed for a public apology over the earlier allegations. His counsel argued that publicly accusing someone of wrongdoing could have serious implications and maintained that an apology would be appropriate under the circumstances. However, Kumar’s side did not agree to this, stating that he believes he has sufficient grounds to support his claims and therefore would not apologise at this stage. With this, the court chose to close the interim plea while clearly stating that no further contro... #controversy_surrounding #Aditya_Dhar #Ranveer_Singh #starring_Ranveer #Santosh_Kumar #Singh_starrer #Dhurandhar_controversy #starrer_Dhurandhar #surrounding_Dhurandhar #ongoing_controversy

Delhi High Court sends Dhurandhar The Revenge song dispute between Trimurti Films and B62 Studios to mediation The Delhi High Court has referred the copyright dispute over the song ‘Rang De Lal’ (Oye Oye) from Dhurandhar The Revenge to mediation. The case involves Trimurti Films and director Aditya Dhar’s production banner B62 Studios. Trimurti Films has alleged that the song in the film includes unauthorised use of music from ‘Tirchi Topiwala,’ a track from the 1989 film Tridev starring Sunny Deol. The company claims it holds the music rights to the original song. Justice Tushar Rao Gedela observed that the dispute appears to be mainly financial in nature. Additionally, Trimurti Films argued that the use of the song, or a version that is substantially similar to it, in Dhurandhar The Revenge was done without the required licence. EXCLUSIVE: Mukesh Chhabra ADMITS he and Aditya Dhar were initially unsure about casting Sara Arjun opposite Ranveer Singh; says, “She matched the brief exactly” The casting of Sara Arjun opposite Ranveer Singh in Dhurandhar sparked widespread conversation after the trailer release, especially around the noticeable age gap between the two actors. Now, casting director Mukesh Chhabra has revealed that he and director Aditya Dhar were initially unsure about finalising her for the role. Speaking exclusively with Bollywood Hungama, Chhabra explained that the team had always planned to cast a completely fresh face for the character rather than a familiar actress. He said, “From the beginning, Aditya and I were very clear that we needed a face that looked like she belonged to that world. There should be no baggage. A new face works better. If we had cast someone who had already done two films, the connection would not feel right because the boy is meeting her there for the first time. ”He added, “Sara had done a few films as a child actor but as a full-fledged heroine in a Bollywood film she had never done that before. The idea was to cast the character, not think of it as casting a typical lead. ” Over 1,000 auditions were conducted before shortlisting Sara Arjun Chhabra revealed that the team conducted an extensive audition process that lasted nearly a year before narrowing down the options. “We were very clear that if we are entering that world, the audience should feel su... #Aditya_Dhar #Ranveer_Singh #Ranveer #Sara_Arjun #Mukesh_Chhabra #opposite_Ranveer #Chhabra_ADMITS #Dhurandhar_sparked #Arjun_opposite #initially_unsure

The matter has now taken a serious turn, with both sides preparing for legal action while publicly presenting contrasting claims. According to a source quoted by Hindustan Times, Aditya Dhar has already responded through his legal team and is considering further steps. “Aditya Dhar has already issued a notice to Santosh Kumar through his legal team, refuting the allegations and requesting him to refrain from making false claims. Despite the aforesaid, since Santosh continues to make baseless allegations, Aditya is in the process of initiating appropriate legal proceedings against him. "However, Santosh Kumar has strongly refuted the claim that a formal legal notice was issued. He maintained that the communication received was merely a response to his email and alleged that he was being pressured to stay silent. “It is not a notice, it is just a reply on my mail. They were harassing me, that I should not complain and that I am defaming them for my publicity. EXCLUSIVE: Dhurandhar The Revenge makers correct mirror goof; revised prints sent to cinemas Dhurandhar The Revenge has been loved for its subject, storytelling, performances, music, massy moments, well-etched characters and of course, the peak detailing by the master, Aditya Dhar. A few days after its release, a minor goof in the film came to light. In a crucial scene just after the intermission, Hamza aka Jaskirat Singh Rangi (Ranveer Singh) gets into a fight with Gurbaaz Singh aka Pinda (Udaybir Sandhu) in a palatial bathroom. Though there’s lots happening in the sequence and the tension is at an all-time high, an observant moviegoer noticed that the reflection of the cameraman is visible in one shot. A screenshot of the moment was widely circulated on social media. Bollywood Hungama has now learned that the makers have rectified this blunder. Unrevealed facts on Dhurandhar: Aditya Dhar REVEALS entire budget and how both films combined became an 8-hour saga: "A scene that was meant to be for 10 seconds actually required 2 minutes" The amount Aditya Dhar was spending per day on shooting Uri, he was spending almost 11 to 12 lakhs lesser than that every day on shooting Dhurandhar. As Aditya told me, it was insanity the way they have pulled off this film. What is the cost of shooting the actual end product? How much did it cost? Aditya told me it's about Rs. 255 crores. Yes, both the films together cost a paltry Rs 255 crores to shoot. Originally, it was meant to be one film only. But an 8-hour film seemed out of the question. Hence, Dhurandhar was split into two. The length increased as the film was being shot. Because Aditya realized that the small montages were turning into big, big scenes. And those big scenes were turning out to be highlights, one after the other. So, what to cut? Aditya explained to me, “A scene that was meant to be for say 10 seconds, it actually required two minutes. ”To take an example, there was the scene in which Major Iqbal is introduced. Arjun Rampal's character is introduced where he says that I want to buy guns. That was supposed to be two-and-a-half-minute scene. It eventually became eight-nine minutes long.
